Party Animals

The last day of 2007 was a good one for me. We woke up and were treated to a very good breakfast made by my Abuelita. As you can see Baily and Robert were very satisfied and happy after breakfast. Then Robert got ready and went to go see National Treasure 2 with Beau and Alex and Eben and her family. I couldn't stand to leave my babies again so I stayed at my Abuelita's house. I took my time getting cleaned up and ready and gave Joaquin a nice, long bath. Then I enjoyed visiting with my Abuelita with just the 2 of us. After they got back from their movie we planned on eating lunch at Pat's Place but unfortunately they were closed. We were pretty bummed about that since it's tradition to eat there every time we go up to the mountains. So we decided to go out to lunch at Pizza Hut instead. I got Joaqin all bundled up as my cute little teddy bear and off we were. I don't know what it is with us and Pizza Hut be we always get the crappiest service there. They took forever to seat us, serve us and get our food out. Plus the restaurant was filthy. But we ended up having a good time anyway. On our way home, me and Alex ran into Wal-Mart while Robert waited with Joaquin in the van. It was a mad house in there! After that we went back to my Abuelita's house and chilled for a bit while I fed the baby. Then me and Robert and my brothers ran to Safeway to get the mandatory New Year's Eve Martinelli's sparkling cider and some other stuff to munch on. When we got back to the house it was time to partay like the party animals we are. It was just me and Robert, my kids, Beau and Alex, and Fran and Abuelita but we had so much fun. Us kids played another intense round of May I? and then we watched part of Newsies. Oh and of course this whole time we were chowing down on some good food. Beau left early so he could be with his lover to ring in the new year. When it came down to the countdown we were all ready with our cider in hand and we rang in the new year with style. It was so much fun. As soon as it was the new year though we were all ready for some sleep. Yeah... crazy party animals are we... lol! It was a lot of fun though and I wouldn't have wanted to spend New Year's Eve any other way!
