From a boring day to a night of play!

Ok so I didn't exactly have a night of play but it was a fun night regardless... I just wanted my title to rhyme! Anyway Robert was home yesterday and for some reason I always think that when he's off work we need to be out doing something fun. I guess it's because I'm at home all week and don't go out much unless it's with him. So during the day I was kind of bored. There was a lot I needed to get done but besides being lazy and feeling tired I really did want to spend some quality time with him. Even if it meant staying at home and not going anywhere special I wanted that precious time with him. We didn't do much of anything besides watch tv, talk and just hang out but I really enjoyed my time with him yesterday. We were both in good moods and laughing and Baily was even a joy to be around. And I spoiled Andre, Baily and I for lunch and splurged on Wendy's. I'm a big spender... I know! Since I'm home during the day I don't get to go out for lunch like I would at a job outside of home. So the few times I do get to eat lunch from a restaurant it's pretty exciting. Oh the simple things in life...

After Mya was picked up I was ready to get out of the house. I had no idea what we were going to do because we didn't really have money to spend but I told Robert let's go somewhere. He suggested the mall so off we went. We took Baily to Fiesta Mall and had a pretty good time. We kept our spending to only a cookie for Baily and some yummy pretzel sticks from Auntie Anne's Pretzels. When we were in the Disney Store and Children's Place Baily was being so cute. She was looking at all the clothes and toys and saying stuff like "ooooh nice," "mommy look how cute" and "wooooow that's nice." She cracks me up! She seems like she's gonna be quite the shopper. Poor girl being born into our family of non-shoppers! After we looked around and enjoyed our snack we took Baily to play in the play area. This is really the only mall play area I like. She had a total blast. Some cute, chubby little boy came up and kissed her on the cheek and she just gave him a total look of scorn like how dare you!! It was so funny. She's quite the fiesty one let me tell you. Needless to say when it was time to go she was not happy.

On our way home we were starving and trying to decide where to eat. Then we remembered that Mesa was having their Friday Night Out last night. Every 2nd Friday of the month downtown Mesa has what they call Friday Night Out where most of the stores and restaurants stay open late and they have street merchants and live music and stuff. Robert and I went a while ago and it was a pretty fun vibe so we thought let's go... it's free at least. We stopped and ate first at Mango's of course. It was good like always and Baily even ate a lot. She loved her pretty Halloween cupcake she got there. I'm kicking myself in the booty for forgetting my camera! I could've taken so many cute pictures last night. Oh well... it's not like I'm lacking in the picture department. After we ate we just walked around and discovered a lot of little cafes and stores we never knew were there. They have this really cool specialty scrapbook store that had me drooling and lots of fun cafes we want to try out. So it just goes to show you you can have a fun night out when you're broke. We didn't exactly have the ideal date night since we had Baily with us but it was so much fun with her and she was so behaved that it was perfect just the way it was!

Sounds like a busy night! I'd be exhausted after all that walking around. We need to go to mango's again, I haven't been since I went with you. :)

Sounds like you had quite the day/night. Wow. I just had a set move-in day, where we hoisted an 18-ft high, 300 lb beam into the air attached to a 500 lb, 8-ft platform. the things we do for theater. looks great, though. Haha. Anyway, i wanna go to that bookstore you talked about. Love you so much! read the story, I think you'll like it.
