body felt 
clammy and tingly. I was seeing stars every time I tried to focus on something and felt very weak and tired. I think I may have had low blood sugar or something. After a call to my Aunt Konny for her medical advice (I'm so grateful I have her... she's the best resource I could ever ask for!) I decided to just take it easy today and not strain myself. I got the essentials done for the day like picking
up the house and making the beds, getting me and Baily ready for the day, tending to Mya's needs and reading my scriptures. Then I just relaxed the rest of the day. I was able to get a lot of reading in and I'm so sucked into this book! I'm about half way through and I'm sure I'll be done with the first book soon. My cousin dropped off the other 2 books in the series so it's great that I won't have to try and find them at the library or scrape up the funds to buy them. Thanks Becca!
and soda for lunch. It was so sweet of her and was a nice break for since I didn't have to make lunch or clean up. I love surprises... especially when they have to do with food! Thanks so much Emely! I love ya'!
bbq tonight but Robert's mom kind of forgot about it so we're gonna do it tomorrow. I'm excited... I've been craving bbq food. Anyway tonight we had tomato baked chicken and it was pretty good. I think out of the 3 of us Baily like it the best. She loves tomatos and chicken and parmesan cheese so of course it was a big hit with her. She was so proud of the banana cream pie she made for dessert... ok I may have helped a little bit but she gets all the credit. She was so proud of her creation. It took a lot of patience on my part to let her help with dinner and dessert but she had such a 
good time. I need to let her help more often. For FHE we read the First Presidency's message from this month's Ensign. It was called "They Marked the Path to Follow" by Pres. Monson. He talked about the many examples we have to look up to and try to follow from all the way back in Old Testament times to modern day prophets. It was a great article. After that we enjoyed our dessert and hung out outside for a while. Then it was just normal routine stuff and off to dream land. Nothing too exciting today but no complaints at all! 
I feel that I after today's sessions of General Conference that I have been truly been uplifted, edified and inspired. I loved each talk for different reasons but I want to note, so I can look back on this for reference, the talks that really stuck out to me and that I felt were for me personally what I needed to hear. I don't have time to expound on each of these talks but I at least want to mention them so I can look back and refer to these talks and remember how they touched me. 
First I want to say that I really missed Elder Faust at this Conference. For the morning session I loved Pres. Eyring's talk about taking time to recognize and write down every day how the God's hand blesses our lives and the lives of our family members. He said it is vital to remember how His hand has touched our lives. I love 
how every time he talks it feels so personal- as if he's talking with me face to face. 
I loved the newly sustained Apostle Elder Cook's talk about living by faith instead of fear. It was exciting to hear a new Apostle speak. I treasured Sis. Beck's talk about motherhood. It really touched home. She's going to 
be a great General Relief Society President. And as always I really enjoyed Elder Bednar's talk about clean hands and a pure
heart. He always helps me understand gospel principles in a whole new light and understanding. The principle of clean hands and a pure heart has always been one that I've been fascinated by but never really grasped. I look forward to reading and studying this talk. And of course Pres. Hinckley's talk was a delight. I cannot express the love that I have for our beloved Prophet. I honestly feel his love for me and for all mankind. He talked about the First Vision and the Restoration and Joseph Smith and The Book of Mormon. It was simple yet profound. 
time ( I love the story of Alma and Amulek and Zeezrom!) and also finally read the talks from the General Relief Society Meeting. They were also simple but great. I loved Sis. Beck's emphasis on standing strong and immovable in faith, family and relief. I loved Pres. Monson's talk and the 3 goals he gave for us to help us of studying diligently, praying earnestly and serving willingly. There was a strong emphasis on Visiting Teaching which is something very near and dear to my heart.
that I dozed off during the 2nd talk. But besides that little nap I 
enjoyed the rest of the talks. I loved Elder Hales' talk about personal revelation. And I loved Elder Tenoro's simple testimony of the Priesthood and the blessings that come from it's power. And also as always, I really enjoyed Elder Oaks' talk about things that are good, better and best. I loved his emphasis on using our very limited time so wisely with family and
choosing what is best for our family. It was very profound and thought provoking. He also made an exciting announcement that next year's Relief Society and Priesthood study will be the teachings of Joseph Smith. I'm so excited for that! And I also want to make note so that I can "remember", how touched I was by the music during these sessions. I especially loved when the Choir sang "A Child's Prayer" in today's morning session. I love when they sing the Primary songs and the simple classics. I feel like the music is just as important and edifying and uplifting as the talks are.
the second session was over Robert watched his recorded Cardinals game. The Cardinals won again! Wahoo! It's always good when we get a win- it ensures an almost perfect chance that my hubby will
be in a good mood during the week. While he watched the game Baily and I made some "coo cakes." She loves her cupcakes! I don't know why but cupcakes with sprinkles just seem like such a happy little treat! We spent most of the rest of the day outside in the perfect crisp, Autumn weather. Later on Robert's family showed up and Robert finished watching his game so the kids had fun playing around with him outside and the rest of us just enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the cool weather. We have had our AC off for 2 days now! Wahoo! I love this time of year. I broke the tradition of breakfast for dinner today because I just flat out didn't feel like cooking and cleaning up. My back was hurting so bad today and I was also having bad leg cramps and achy, swollen feet. And I was just plain tired. I'm gonna have to make the breakfast soon though so my cinnamon bread doesn't go bad! It was a nice relaxing day- exactly what I needed before the crazy week coming up. And it's so nice to start off a week and a month feeling so uplifted, edified and inspired!
the kind of Saturday I dreamed of when I was growing up and imagining my perfect little life. It was spiritually uplifting, there was quality family time, the weather was gorgeous and everyone just seemed in a good mood and happy. Nothing extraordinary happened but it was just simple perfection.
I looove General Conference. So I woke up all excited for Conference and the the first session was awesome. I get teary eyed 
(I know... surprise, surprise) every time I see Pres. Hinckley. I just love and honor him so much. And I was excited when he said he was going to announce the new Generaly Authorities because for some reason I wasn't expecting it until the later session. I was so surprised but excited at the same time that Elder Eyring was called as 2nd Counselor.
I was expecting it to be Packer or one of the older Brethren. I really do love Elder Eyring though and sustain him with all my heart. There were so many great talks given but 2 of my favorites were Elder Packer's and Elder Uchtdorf's. I wasn't all too thrilled when I first heard Elder Packer's talk but it grew on me. 
I loved how he emphasized that not one calling is higher or better than any in the Church and that even after all the great service through callings and work we do in the Church, the most important is the service we do in our own homes with our own spouses and children. I love how the Church emphasized the importance and necessity of strengthening family! And Elder Uchtdorf's talk was so positive and uplifting. I loved his personal story about how as a child he suffered horrible things in Germany during WWII but that during this time is when he learned of the Restored Gospel and how it brought him and his family hope and peace and comfort. Wow! I also loved Pres. Monson's and the Elder of the 70 (can't remember his name) who talked about how his father mended his shoes. I could go on and on... which I've already done pretty much... but I loved this session. We didn't watch the 2nd session but I'm excited to watch it as soon as it's available online. 
was over we all got ready and headed out for some outdoor family fun. It was seriosly the most perfect day 
ever weather-wise and I couldn't stand to see it go to waste. Baily loves watching the choo choo soul train on the 
Disney channel and after promising her that we'll go on a train some day we finally took her to ride a choo choo train today. We took her to Freestone park and rode the little train
they have there. It's a bit pricey for such a silly, little train ride but it was worth it for Baily. She loved it. It was so cute... every time the driver tooted the horn she would do the signal with her arm and say "choo choo." I know she doesn't look very excited in the pictures but she really did love it. After the ride we took her to look at all the ducks and birds. She did not want to leave. We'll have to spend more time there next time we go. 
good. After we finished we still had time to spare before m little 
brother's soccer game so we went to Red Mountain Park which was right next to where
his soccer game was going to be and Baily had a blast playing around. She did the monkey bars for the first time and
even hung on all by herself. You can see how proud of a daddy Robert is too. He's such a great dad!
After we left there we went to my brother's soccer game. His team is called the Green Fire. Zach did ok but it wasn't his best game. His team was sadly defeated once again but he seemed to have fun. Baily and Kenzie had a blast playing together and Robert and I totally enjoyed the perfect weather!

I really didn't feel like staying at home by myself and was in the mood to go out so I called my friend Malissa and she had pity on me and let me
tag along with her and some friends to Peter Piper Pizza. Baily and I had a lot of fun and it totally beats staying at home moping and doing nothing. So thanks Malissa for letting me be a
tag along! And thanks to your kids for being so great with my naughty little girl! The last picture is when we were all leaving and that's all the kids that were in our group. Baily was in heaven with all those kids to play with but she looks like a total outcast in this picture. It cracks me up! 
After we came home we got ready for bed and watched movies. Robert went out with his friends to Native New Yorker and he said they had a good time. He deserves a night out every now and then! And being the sweet husband he is and knowing I was craving ice cream he brought me home a Sonic Blast. I knew I kept him around for something! I love him so much. And I love perfect days like this. They really do only happen once in a blue moon but I'll take them any time I get them!
