I love that video. I have been so overwhelmed lately with how evil the world is becoming. That does bring so much peace. That Barack video.... WOW. That's all I have to say..... and this......... NOBAMA!!!
Oh, Sarah. You are so beautiful. I love looking at the pictures of you and your family. You really are truely beautiful. I love how dedicated you are to your beliefs and to your husband and children. I want to cry when I read you getting down on yourself. I admire your goals and your accomplishments (that peanutbutter catterpillar!), and I appreciate how much you want to improve yourself (we all could use some improvement :) but I think it is amazing how much you ARE getting done! Did you get a chance to hear President Uchtdorf's talk during the Relief Society General Meeting? If not, I'll have to see if I can find it for you. But anyways, he spoke about how much the sisters do and then we stress ourselves about something that we didn't feel was our absolute best, for example: his wife will experiment and make all these nice meals that they have experienced in their travels, full courses, and then feel badly about something that didn't turn out the way she hoped. When on the other hand, if he (Pres. Uchtdorf) makes breakfast, he feels like a hero!
I like how your blog is a journal and I love your counting blessings, but I think you should put up a scoreboard for all the things that you do get done and include all the little things like cuddling with J, and spending time with B. You said it about the little things bringing about great things! Don't put up a scoreboard for the other stuff! President Monson said that this time with your little ones will pass way too quickly and you will look back and despite the messy house and the loads of undone laundry, you will miss it profoundly. (not a direct quote, but very close.) It's a wonderful goal to have a clean house, but at this time and season of our lives, the house is always going to get messy again the next hour. I can't keep my kitchen clean for two hours in a row!! I am waiting for an 8yr old who sees the value of keeping her room clean. Unfortunately, that is getting in the way of me spending quality time with my kids, having fun and letting them know that they are more important to me than if their room is always clean. I feel really bad about that at the moment. :( I need to repent. :)
Well, anyway. I enjoyed the video, that was very nice, and I am feeling that events are beginning to build momentum and more and more we are going to need to rely on our Savior. Growing up, I didn't ever think that I might live in times like the Book of Mormom, you know, big eventful times, but I am starting to wonder. It feels like a pressure is building and I find myself scared and excited and hoping and not hoping all at the same time. Which reminds me, I have an email I want to send to you. Can I put it on here, or do you have a link to your email?...I shall have to look. I really don't know how to use these blog thingies. :)
Well, I gotta go, my legs and my rear have gone numb. :) Congratulations on your upcoming move. I feel the same scared and excited. Which in my experience. probably means it's the right move, also. Doesn't mean that I like it. :) I know you will make the most of it, and you are going to keep blogging so I am not so worried. :)
Love ya! Amalee
ps, your mom's little blanket she made for J is precious!
